Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Dental Staff Institute, LLC ("DSI," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing our website, purchasing a course, or enrolling in a program, you ("you," "the Student," "the User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before enrolling. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services or enroll in our programs. No part of this website is intended to constitute a contractual offer capable of acceptance. Your course order constitutes an offer to purchase, and a binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email accepting that offer.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, purchasing a course, submitting payment, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DSI.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your state of residence, to enroll in our programs and purchase courses. By enrolling, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide during enrollment is accurate and complete.

3. Program Information
DSI provides continuing education, certification preparation, and training programs for members of the dental team, including dental assistants, dental hygienists, dentists, and front office staff. Program details, course content, schedules, instructors, and pricing are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Certain courses are approved by the applicable state dental board and are valid for use only in the states specifically identified for that course (for example, nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing, and dental radiography certifications). It is the student's responsibility to confirm that a course satisfies the licensing or regulatory requirements of the state in which they intend to practice before enrolling. Course approval status is disclosed on individual course pages and is subject to change. DSI will only represent a course as board-approved where a current approval letter or equivalent authorization is on file with the applicable state board, and/or where the governing dental board in that state will accept a foreign (out-of-state) certification toward eligibility. You are responsible for confirming and following the rules of your own state's governing dental board to obtain final certification or licensure.

4. Account Registration
To enroll in a course, you may be required to create an account through our learning platform. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We recommend that you do not save your account credentials in a browser on a shared or public computer. We accept no liability for losses resulting from your account details being shared or disclosed by you.

5. Payments & Enrollment
Enrollment in any program requires payment in full or agreement to an approved payment plan at the time of registration. By enrolling, you authorize DSI (or its designated payment processor) to charge the payment method provided for the applicable tuition, fees, and any recurring payment plan installments. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Sales tax, where applicable, will be added at checkout. All pricing is accurate as of the time it is published online. We reserve the right to change course pricing or alter promotional offers at any time. If a price changes between the time you place an order and the time we process it, the price in effect at the time you placed your order will be honored. Failure to complete payment under an installment or payment plan may result in suspension of access to course materials until the account is brought current.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
6.1 Cancellation Before the Start of Classes
Enrollment may be canceled provided DSI is notified of the cancellation in writing by email at least 7 calendar days before the course start date. If such cancellation is made, DSI will promptly refund all tuition and fees paid.

6.2 Late Cancellation / Withdrawal After Classes Begin
Cancellations received less than 7 calendar days before the course start date, and any withdrawal after the course has begun, are not eligible for a cash refund. Instead, the student will receive a course credit, valid toward retaking the same course on another available date. Course credit is subject to seat availability and must be used within 90 days of the original course date; if unused after 90 days, the credit is forfeited. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or course credit.

6.3 School-Initiated Cancellation
If DSI cancels a scheduled class or program, students will receive a full refund of all tuition and fees paid.

6.4 Processing
DSI will issue the appropriate refund within 30 days of the date it is able to determine that a student has withdrawn or been terminated from a program. Refunds are based on the student's last date of attendance or participation in a course activity.

6.5 How to Cancel
To cancel or withdraw, notify us in writing by email at contactDSI@dentalstaffinstitute.com. Cancellation is effective as of the date the notice is received.

6.6 Non-Refundable Items
Exam fees paid to a third-party testing body, materials fees, and expenditures on your behalf for non-refundable course resources are not eligible for refund.

7. Business / Employer-Sponsored Enrollment
Where a dental practice, employer, or other third party pays tuition or fees on behalf of a student, these Terms still govern the relationship between DSI and the individual student who creates the account and completes the course - the student remains bound by the course conduct, certification, and account obligations in these Terms. The paying employer is responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information. A refund request under Section 6 may be made by either the enrolled student or the paying employer of record; where the two disagree, DSI will issue any refund due to the party that made the original payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties.

8. Course Access & Technical Requirements
Access to online course content is provided through our learning platform for the duration specified at the time of purchase. You are responsible for ensuring you have compatible internet access, hardware, and software to complete coursework. We do not guarantee compatibility with every device or browser. Course access is for your individual, non-commercial educational use only. You may not share your login credentials, record and redistribute course content, or allow any other person to access the course under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, including suspected credential sharing or unauthorized redistribution of course materials.

9. Intellectual Property
All course materials, videos, text, graphics, logos, and other content provided through our programs are the property of DSI or its licensors and are protected by U.S. copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any course content without our prior written consent. Any third-party trademarks, logos, or names referenced on our website or in our course materials (for example, those of state dental boards or professional certification bodies) belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply endorsement of DSI by that organization.

10. Certificates & Credentials
Upon successful completion of a course, including any required examinations, you may receive a certificate of completion. Certificates are issued solely for the course(s) actually completed and do not, by themselves, guarantee licensure, certification, or employment. It is the student's sole responsibility to submit any required documentation to the appropriate state board or regulatory agency and to confirm that specific requirements have been met.

11. SMS Communications
By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS text messages from DSI, including responses to inquiries, enrollment updates, class reminders, and promotional offers. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any course or service.

12. Community Features & Communications Conduct
If we make discussion boards, live chat, comments, or other communication features available on our website or learning platform, your use of them is subject to the following rules. Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account:
- Do not use obscene, vulgar, or abusive language.
- Do not post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory.
- Do not post content intended to promote or incite violence.
- Do not impersonate any other person, including our employees or representatives.
- Do not use these features for unauthorized mass communication, spam, or unsolicited advertising.
We reserve the right to monitor and retain communications made through these features, and to remove content that violates these Terms.

13. User Responsibilities & Conduct
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information to DSI
- Use our website, learning platform, and course materials only for lawful, personal educational purposes
- Not engage in academic dishonesty, including having another person complete coursework or examinations on your behalf
- Not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our website or learning platform
We reserve the right to terminate enrollment, without refund, for violations of this section, including academic dishonesty or misuse of the platform.

14. Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including professional organizations, state dental boards, or certification bodies. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content. Inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement of the linked site or its operators.

15. Disclaimers
Our programs are educational in nature. Completion of a course does not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, legal, medical, or professional advice regarding your specific licensure or employment situation. Course content is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

16. Website & Platform Availability
Our website and learning platform are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we use reasonable efforts to keep our website and learning platform accessible, we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we are not liable for any disruption or unavailability caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including hosting or third-party platform outages, internet service disruptions, or events beyond our control. We do not provide refunds solely on account of temporary platform downtime.

17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DSI, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of our services or participation in our programs, whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under North Carolina law.

18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DSI and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of our services.

19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Gaston County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

20. No Waiver
If we fail to enforce any right or provision of these Terms, that failure does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision, and we may still enforce it at a later time.

21. No Third-Party Rights
Except as expressly provided in Section 7 with respect to a paying employer's ability to request a refund, these Terms create a legal relationship solely between you and DSI, and no other person or entity acquires any right to enforce these Terms.

22. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

24. Notices
All notices related to these Terms, including cancellation notices under Section 6, must be sent by email to contactDSI@dentalstaffinstitute.com. A notice sent by email is deemed received on the day it is sent if received during a business day, or on the next business day if sent on a weekend or holiday.
